If you are a new or transfer player, please follow the guidelines posted below in the FAQs first before trying to register.

New Player Registration opens June 8, 2025

If you want to register for the 2025-2026 season as a new player, you need to reside within our boundary which is North and West Vancouver (and Bowen Island)

Please send as a pdf attachment the following:

1. Player Reg Form
2. Copy of Birth Certificate
3. 2 proofs of residence

Once received you will be sent an email with further instructions

If your player was not born in Canada please see link below for the required documents. Players born outside Canada must sen in the documents listed even if they have never played hockey before

Players transferring to NSFIHA from another association or players wishing to join North Shore Avalanche because the program wanted is not available in their home association (i.e. no female team or no "A team"), or players on a waitlist with their home association should follow the Player Movement steps as required by the PCAHA, which governs our association. To review the full rules related to player transfer or movement, please see the PCAHA Rule Book:

1. Complete the PCAHA Registration Form
2. Complete the PCAHA Application for Player Movement Form. Note that this form may take time to process as it requires a signature from your home association registrar. Both parents must sign this form in INK
3. Depending on the player's situation, the following supporting documentation may be required: Three (3) proof of residency. Required is property tax bill or school registration. Suitable 2nd proofs are complete utility bills such as Shaw Cable, BC Hydro, Fortis BC, Medical Services Plan, an appropriate city/district utility bill. Telephone and /or mobile phone bills are not sufficient proof.
4. A copy of the player's birth certificate​
5. Email documents from Steps 1-4 as pdf to the NSFIHA registrar at registrar@northshoregirlshockey.com.
6. The registrar will contact you once the player has been approved for player movement; you will then be able to complete the registration form above.

What happens if a division is full?

It may be necessary to cap registration numbers in a division, depending on how many players sign up.  We encourage all families to register early, particularly at the U15  and U18 levels. If you are unable to register a player, it could be that your division is already full; please contact the registrar ASAP and request to be placed on a waitlist (if required). Please include the player name and division in your correspondence. Waitlist priority will be given based on the email date. • Rep Tier 1 $330 Supplemental Fee should a player be eligible for Tier 1 (U11 A, U13 A, U15 A, U18 A). *Full-time goalies are exempt. 

• Rep Tier 1 Head Coach’s and Assistant Coach’s coaching salaries and other related coaching costs should a player be eligible for Tier 1 (U13 A, U15A, U18A teams) 

• Any tournaments your team enters, whether the player participates or not. 

• Any exhibition game referee fees 

• Fundraising initiatives such as Giants Night or other events 

• Any additional financial assessments the NSFIHA Board declares 

• $150 Evaluation Fee if your daughter chooses to "try out" for a Rep level team (A1, A2)
• $135 Evaluation Fee if your daughter chooses to "try out" for C1
• Player hockey skill development clinics sponsored by the Association such as those provided by Advantage Hockey.
• Premium team photo day packages
• Optional Avalanche gear available a Time Out Source for Sports such as hockey bags, hoodies, track suits, etc.

All registrations must be paid by credit card through TeamSnap.

What if I don’t have a credit card?
Please contact our registrar to make alternative arrangements.

Is there an option to pay the registration fees by instalments?

Yes. You can select to pay the full amount (default selection) OR to click on the “Instalment Plan” option. The instalment plan requires $100 deposit when you first register and then the balance paid out over 2 equal instalments payments withdrawn on the following dates: July 1, August 1. The same credit card used for the first payment will automatically be charged on the future dates.

PLEASE NOTE: NSFIHA is a not for profit association. If you are able to pay in full, that would be greatly appreciated as our Board works hard to keep the club in a good financial position. If, however, you would like to spread your registration payments out please select the multiple payment option when you register on TeamSnap.

Please note in order to register you will need a Hockey Canada ID for your daughter(s). If you already have a Hockey Canada ID but have forgotten it, the TeamSnap registration process will find it for you. If you are a new or transfer player please see info under those titles.
