For returning players, registration for the 2023-2024 hockey season opens May 15, 2023. Please register by clicking the REGISTER HERE button above.

If you are a new or transfer player, please follow the guidelines posted below in the FAQs first before trying to register.

New Player Registration opens June 1, 2023

If you want to register for the 2023-2024 season as a new player, you need to within our boundary which is North and West Vancouver (and Bowen Island)

Please send as a pdf attachment the following:

1. Player Reg Form
2. Copy of Birth Certificate
3. 2 proofs of residence

Once received you will be sent a Hockey Canada # to register.

If your player was not born in Canada please email registrar@northshoregirlshockey.com as there are forms etc required

What happens if a division is full?

It may be necessary to cap registration numbers in a division, depending on how many players sign up.  We encourage all families to register early, particularly at the U15  and U18 levels. If you are unable to register a player, it could be that your division is already full; please contact the registrar ASAP and request to be placed on a waitlist (if required). Please include the player name and division in your correspondence. Waitlist priority will be given based on the email date. If you have any questions about registration or the online registration process, please email our registrar at registrar@northshoregirlshockey.com.

All U11 (formerly Atom) to U18 (formerly Midget) division players who want to be considered for placement on a Tier 1 Rep or Tier 2 House team must participate in the pre-season evaluation process at the start of September. Evaluations are for those seeking team placements on U18 A & C1, U15 A & C1, U13 A & C1 and U11 C1 & C2.

NOTE: Evaluations and "tiered" team placements are not part of the younger U7 (formerly Tyke) and U9 (formerly Novice) divisions; no evaluations are offered or required at this level and there are no additional fees.

Evaluation registration opens in typically in mid-June and closes in mid-August. See the Evaluations Registration page for this year's dates. Fees are payable online when you register for evaluations here. The evaluation fees are as follows:

• Player Evaluation Fee: $125
• Goalie Evaluation Fee (U11-U18 divisions) evaluation fee: $55

A $75.00 late fee will apply if a returning player’s registration and/or payment in full are received after June 1st and the player is able to be placed on a team.

• Rep Tier 1 $300 Supplemental Fee should a player be eligible for Tier 1 (U11 C1, U13 A, U15 A, U18 A). *Full-time goalies are exempt.
• Rep Tier 1 related coaching costs
• Any tournaments your team enters, whether the player participates or not.
• Any exhibition game referee fees
• Fundraising initiatives such as Giants Night or other events
• Any additional financial assessments the NSFIHA Board declares

• $125 Evaluation Fee if you daughter choses to "try out" for a Tier 2 House or Rep level team
• Player hockey skill development clinics sponsored by the Association such as those provided by Advantage Hockey.
• Premium team photo day packages
• Optional Avalanche gear available a Time Out Source for Sports such as hockey bags, hoodies, track suits, etc.

All registrations must be paid by credit card through TeamSnap.

What if I don’t have a credit card?
Please contact our registrar to make alternative arrangements.

Is there an option to pay the registration fees by instalments?

Yes. You can select to pay the full amount (default selection) OR to click on the “Instalment Plan” option. The instalment plan requires $50 deposit when you first register and then the balance paid out over 3 equal instalments payments withdrawn on the following dates: July 1, August 1 and September 1. The same credit card used for the first payment will automatically be charged on the future dates.

PLEASE NOTE: NSFIHA is a not for profit association. If you are able to pay in full, that would be greatly appreciated as our Board works hard to keep the club in a good financial position. If, however, you would like to spread your registration payments out please select the multiple payment option when you register on TeamSnap.

• Prior to August 15 – Full registration refund less a $30.00 administration fee.
• Prior to September 15 – 50% of registration fee refunded.
• September 16 to October 31 – 25% of registration fee refunded.
• November 1 onwards – No registration fee refunds.
• Cancellations/withdrawals must be made in writing or email and will be dated once received.
• Cancellations/withdrawals due to medical reasons, or other exceptional circumstances, will be reviewed by the Board on an individual basis.
• Refund opportunities due to 2022-2023 season delays, postponements or cancellations mandated by authorities due to COVID-19-related matters will be considered by the Board if circumstances arise.

Please note in order to register you will need a Hockey Canada ID for your daughter(s). If you already have a Hockey Canada ID but have forgotten it, the TeamSnap registration process will find it for you. If you are a new or transfer player please see info under those titles.

We use TeamSnap for Avalanche team and program registrations and payments. You will need a TeamSnap account if you don't already have one: it's free and can be used as a web-based service or downloaded as an app on your device. This service is also our primary important communication tool between you, your team and the association.
