Spend a Weekend in Kelowna with Natalie Spooner – July 19-21, 2019

The Grindstone Award Foundation is putting on what sounds like an amazing summer event for girls who play hockey or who want to play hockey. The Grindstone Award Foundation has a goal to provide opportunities to young female hockey players across Canada who have a desire to play, but are unable to for financial reasons. Last year the foundation was able to give 30 grants across Canada, and the goal this year is 50!
The weekend consists of three great events:
- Spoon Full of Dreams (Friday July 19) – NATALIE SPOONER is sharing and inspiring the girls with a meet and greet and autograph session. (ALL AGES)
- Girls Rock the Rink (Saturday July 20- Sunday July 21) – Two day event consists of an ice session with Natalie Spooner, an off-ice dry land session, and a leadership and empowerment session with Barb Egan. (AGE 5-18 – Various groups including an advanced group)
- Women’s 3rd Annual Charity Tournament (Friday July 19-Sunday July 21) – Open to all ages (19+) or ability. New players welcome! Includes 4 game guarantee, a charity banquet with keynote speaker – Natalie Spooner, All Star Game and bevies in the dressing rooms.
